"Hi, I'm Aileen White and I'm delighted to be part of the team! I'm the founder of My Birth Support CIC, based in Canterbury and we offer theraputic education, events and training that support parent mental health before and after birth, in person and online. A lot of the people who access our support are neurodiverse and we also have a fortnightly small stay and play group which is ideal for those who are neurodiverse or disabled. My family, friends and myself are a wonderful mix of spicyness and one of my special interests in labyrinth visiting, walking and making! "

Aimee Booth

"I am a mum of two, a registered nurse and a health visitor with a diagnosis of dyspraxia and ADHD.

I am the founder of Karma Babies, which offers hypnobirthing, baby massage and yoga classes in the Manchester area.

I am passionate about supporting parents through their transition into parenting and beyond, by offering education, support and opportunities to build community."

"I am a registered midwife and nurse with experience in all areas of midwifery practice. I wish for every woman and birthing person to have access to rights-respecting, trauma-informed care that is sensitive to their unique needs. In my midwifery work, I aim to support families to have a birth experience that leaves them feeling fulfilled and empowered, no matter the mode or place of birth.

Much of my recent midwifery practice has focused on facilitating birth debrief sessions and supporting women and birthing people in their birth choices. In my work with Birthrights, I aim to ensure that women and birthing people are aware of their rights and know how to navigate the system, while also helping healthcare professionals develop the knowledge required to provide rights-respecting care.

I am passionate about providing effective and engaging training that equips NHS staff and other birth workers with a strong understanding of human rights in birth, and helps translate that knowledge into tangible action in practice."

Elizabeth Staunton Acheson
Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire, UK
"I am a white fat woman wearing rainbow glasses and blue clothes, leaning on a fence, reading a book and smiling at the camera.

I am AuDHD and the parent of four neurodivergent children. I am a birth and postnatal doula and hypnobirthing teacher, with special interests in the neurodivergent experience of pregnancy, birth and beyond, infant feeding, and perinatal mental health.

I am a big nerd and love to read and signpost parents to good resources."

Erin Fung

"I am a mum of three, an antenatal educator, hypnobirthing teacher and host of the Better Birth podcast.

I am autistic and have ADHD, and I am also the parent of neurodivergent children.
I am passionate about educating parents for birth in an evidence- and research-focused way, with particular interests in iatrogenic harm, induction of labour, and neurodiversity, especially ADHD, autism and birth."

"I am an autistic midwife, a mother of neurodivergent children, and a lecturer in midwifery at the University of Suffolk. While in practice, I worked with The Florence Nightingale Foundation to create a series of support plans for autistic women accessing maternity care. This led me to undertake an MA in autism to further my knowledge and develop an ethos for staff training.

Since then, I have written several articles and book chapters, and co-written a book called Supporting Autistic People Through Pregnancy and Childbirth. I am a founding member of the Maternity Autism Research Group, a collective of autistic researchers working to support meaningful and accessible maternity care for autistic women.

I have worked with various organisations to improve maternity care for autistic people, including Suffolk and North East Essex ICB, The Royal College of Midwives, and All4Maternity. I have also consulted on several expert panels for the University of Toronto, the University of Cambridge, and Swansea University. I am currently a member of the maternity inclusivity taskforce led by MP Marie Tidball, reviewing maternity care for disabled women."

"I am a queer, neurodivergent parent of two, and both a birthing and non-birthing parent.
I am an antenatal educator, hypnobirthing teacher, doula, and perinatal mental health practitioner with a deep passion for creating inclusive, affirming spaces for all parents.
My work centres on supporting queer and neurodivergent families to navigate pregnancy, birth, and beyond feeling informed, empowered, and truly seen. I believe everyone deserves care that honours who they are, and I am driven to challenge the systems that so often overlook parents like us, advocating for change, compassion, and a more equitable maternity world."

"I am a neurodivergent Black mother and equity practitioner with over a decade of experience working across health, research and community.

My work focuses on dismantling systemic inequities and embedding cultural humility, intersectionality and lived experience into service design and delivery, especially within mental health services."

"Hi, I'm Rose (Pronouns: they/she)

I'm a hypnobirthing and antenatal educator in Bebington, Wirral, which is funny, because for a long time I didn’t even want to give birth. I was that scared. Birth felt unpredictable, overwhelming, and honestly just not for me.

Then I found hypnobirthing - not the fluffy preconceived idea, but the practical, grounded in science, evidence based version, and it completely changed my experience. When I had my daughter, I felt present, powerful, and like an absolute badass!

I want everyone to have access to the knowledge and tools that help them feel empowered, informed, and confident - whatever their circumstances, identity, or background.

I'm passionate about inclusive birth work because I know how it feels to be on the margins. As a queer and neurodivergent parent, I’ve experienced the gaps and assumptions in antenatal care first hand, and I’m passionate about making sure no one gets left out. But this space is for everyone.

Cis, trans, queer, straight, neurodivergent, neurotypical, white, Black, Brown, Asian, disabled, fat, older, younger, home birth, caesarean - every birthing body, every family structure, every kind of pregnancy journey. Your story matters, and you deserve support that meets you where you are."
